Talk of the 'Loot
Hot and Not

Did you know you don't need to show at lot of skin to be sexy?

Just check out this entry of the day for Hottest Girl!

Okay, that's not really an entry, but some people might find these chicks sexy.

...Maybe?

Okay, maybe not.  So, as most of you can guess, Hottest Girl is one of our most popular contests.  I know, can you believe it?  People actually like looking at hot girls.  I am just as stunned as you are.

However, since SugarLoot is not an amateur "you know whatsy site" (hint: it rhymes with horn), we have to draw the line somewhere.

Yes, if Sex and the City taught us anything, there is a difference between sexy and slutty and racy and raunchy.  Bikinis?  Sexy and racy.  Wearing nothing but a smile?  That can be a little slutty and raunchy.  I hope you get the point.  (Wow. I feel like I'm having a sex talk with the daughter I never had.)

Now, ladies, this does not mean you need to replicate the outfits of those hottie-nuns above.  Unless you want to, which is fine.  Er... I'm sure you'd get 10's...

However, I would recommend not exposing parts of your body that are susceptible to... infections.

Also, I would try experimenting with all the different types of apparel that can cover your chest that are not your own hands... or someone elses.  (Did you know there's a thing called "tops"?)

If you wish to expose more of your body, which is fine, there are plenty of other websites that welcome that sort of thing.  I bet you that you probably know at least one person who has all of them bookmarked.  However, SugarLoot wants our content to be suitable for everyone, including the under 18-ers.

Here are some examples of what I think can totally win Hottest Girl.

(Okay, I'm justing kidding about that last one.)

However, I want to open this up to discussion. What do YOU think is sexy and what crosses the line? Give your honest opinion.

Couple of suggestions. 1. Sugar Loot should make the blog section not accept HTML, as people sometimes use it to just advertise their entries, hoping for many hits. 2. Sugar Loot should be more specific in their rules as to what's acceptable or not regarding the contest. IE-what you mentioned: hand/bra tops, underwear, etc. Whatever the requirements are, they should be stated clearly as "NOT ACCEPTABLE" to avoid having to answer as many questions. 3. Perhaps Sugar Loot can hire picture accepters, like Hot or Not has, to approve or deny contest pics BEFORE they go live. I know I used to do this on the site, it's free work, and that may help a great deal.

"However, I would recommend not exposing parts of your body that are susceptible to... infections." I laughed for about 10 straight minutes after reading that. But, yeah what you had to say is true

What is sexy? Its a look. And a woman does not have to be nude to have it. Sometimes its what you cant see that is the hotest.

I agree with Rachael. A lot of girls are putting pictures up and you can't be sure if it's even them. Stricter rules should be set.

These are great responses, guys. I really liked what some of you had to say about the more professional-looking photos. You know, some of the people entering "Hottest Girl" or even "Hottest Guy" are amateur models who use this site to get exposure. I think SugarLoot is a great way to launch a career along the modeling/acting/photography lines. With camera equipment getting easier to get a hold of these days, it is super easy to make any entry look like professional spread in Vogue or something. Do you think that offers an unfair advantage or should these entrants be rewarded for going the extra mile? Or maybe should we create more specific contests?

If anyone spots an entry or post that is vulgar or obscene they can always report it. I also agree with Faker buster above, the entries should be screened before being posted.

When I first joined Sugarloot and started enjoying the gorgeous women who entered this contest there seemed to be quite the variety of ensembles worn by the contestants. If you look at the current field of entrants you'll still see that variety. After all...It is titled "Hottest Girl". The standards (are they really clear enough) don't seem to be uniformly enforced. Also, members entries are deleted with no explanation from the site. Did the staff delete the entry or was it deleted due to objections. Maybe a screening process should be considered prior to posting the entry. Also, there are some who feel their possibility winning is threatened and attack someone's entry. Reviewing "WHO" is doing all the objecting should also be closely looked at. AND..as a final comment, there should be some final score adjustment made that would include the total number of votes received. NO way should someone with a 9.0 (200 votes) win over someone with a 8.9 (5,347). If no one can figure out how to accomplish that then maybe a cutoff date for entering.
