Talk of the 'Loot
All posts found in "News"

CandyGram #36 is en route to your inboxes. We have info on video contests, prizes, and some noteworthy looters. We also have a special announcement about voting that is sure to have you jumping for joy. Just don't let your excitement lead you to knocking over your computer. We don't want to be responsible for that.

Some awesome celebs are making their way to SugarLoot. You can read all about them in our next issue of the CandyGram. We know you have a lot to say about SugarLoot's star power. What kinds of celebs would you like to see sponsor contests on SugarLoot? Do you like discovering new talent (i.e. bands or actors) through contests? Do you like seeing familiar faces?

The next issue of the SugarLoot newsletter is making its way into your inboxes. Get the scoop on the new South Park contest, read the latest techniques for winning, and hear from a 'Looter who met the Shaun from Seether. We would love to know what you think about this week's CandyGram, so post your feedback below.

Hey Everybody.

Welcome to the community section. It's time to start some unmoderated conversations. It's going to be wild.

Don't forget to take a look at the next issue of the CandyGram.

Tony, Jenn, and I were so excited about SugarLoot Awards that we just wanted to let you know about them now! We plan to make more videos to let you know about the latest cool stuff on SugarLoot as well as to answer questions you have.

Do you have a unique question you'd like answered by us? Leave a comment in this post and if we like your question we will include it in one of our upcoming videos.

Coming soon, the SugarLoot staff is making some changes to make your SugarLoot experience more worthwhile (as if that is even possible, right?)

On this page, we're making it easier to comment (no more waiting for approval), participate, and make yourself heard loud enough for all of SugarLoot to hear. So to mark this change, we're renaming this section Community.

Now, I know a lot of you may be thinking, "What about Nugz?" Believe me, I thought that, too. In fact, I was actually filling out an application for DeVry University when I was informed that I will still be here! Yes, I will still be posting and being the same old Nugz. So within a few days, you can come here to hang out with your SugarLoot friends, join in discussions, and be the first to know about anything exciting on the 'Loot. It's bound to be a fun time for all.

You may not know this, but the staff at SugarLoot are avid shoppers of Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, and Crate and Barrel.

That being said, if you enter a catalogue pic for Best Room, chances are we will recognize and deactivate it because it is probably decoupaged in our "wish list" scrapbook, like Kathleen's entry.

Also, I know 2001 Maniacs is the creme de la creme of modern cinema, but in the real world slavery has been abolished and you cannot own a person. Therefore, entries of you with your loved one in Most Prized Possession will be deactivated. Furthermore, I would suggest you end that unhealthy relationship because chances are that person feels like you own them. Not cool.

Don't enter fake pics. We will deactivate them and you'll feel defeated, which will lead to long-term depression. SugarLoot does not want to be the cause of your depression. So, cheer up and play by the rules.

Bottom Line: Fake pics = deactivated account. Not worth it!

Not all of us are allowed to get tattoos, but you can adorn that profile of yours in any way you see fit. Plus you can always remove those Jonas Brothers pics once they become as cool as Hanson.

For the fans and entrants of Hottest Girl, our new Hottest Girl app is the latest in ways to round up those daily 10's.

It is always exciting when someone who was on TV is on the 'Loot.

Now, despite the rumors circulating that Ashley Tisdale is on the Loot (no, she is much too busy making music videos for direct-to-DVD cheerleading movies), we've got the young lady who handed out the trophies (or surf boards) at the Teen Choice Awards, Chalice!

Chalice and the girls of 'The Hills'

There's an interview with Chalice in the upcoming CandyGram (CandyGram 26) which you must read if you want all the inside Hollywood scoop. Use the comment section in this blog post to discuss!

Check out this awesome picture!

Gossip Girl scribe, Cecily Von Ziegesar poses with the winner, Darby, from our Be A Gossip Girl contest:

How coincidental is this?

CandyGram 25 is on its way out...

And its February 25th!

Isn't that crazy!

Well, it's not as crazy as not reading the next CandyGram. It's filled with cool articles, pics, and more!

Hey Everybody-

Here's a special poem I wrote for you that took HOURS to write:

I hope you're all enjoying your President's Day.
CandyGram 24 is on its way.

Please don't become jealous over my literary genius.

Love,
Nugz

Hey guys-

Just wanted to thank everyone for the b-day wishes.

The staff at SugarLoot has been getting LOADS of questions about an upcoming acting contest.

As you can tell we are super-excited, but we want to make sure it's a surprise for all of you future Oscar winners (and Razzie winners. I know there must be a Pauly Shore among you... at the very least it is me.)

The staff at SugarLoot have been threatening me to not divulge anything about an acting contest, so as you can tell, it's been very hard for me to keep my e-mouth shut. However, since I live in Hollywood, I can provide you with the following tips:

1.) Do some vocal warm-ups. Actors need to speak clearly.

2.) Make sure your camera is working.

3.) Watch Robin Williams on Inside the Actors' Studio. (Just because it's funny.)

4.) Change the light bulbs in your room if you need to. Whatever it is, the better acting vids are the ones where we can see your face clearly.

5.) Save your Shakespearean soliloquy for your audition at the Royal Academy. Shorter videos are a lot better and get more votes.

Okay, and that's ALL I can tell you...

...For now.
