YOUR SCOOP FOR THE LOOT

POSH PRIZES FOR VIDEOS
Fall It's a great time to own a video camera or to shell out $30 for a webcam. SugarLoot has amazing prizes to give away and not a lot of entries. That means even if you're not the next Miley or Pitt you still have a good chance of appearing in a movie or joining forces with Fall Out Boy to save the Earth. With less than 100 entries in each of these contests, you have a good chance of winning. Fire up that camera and start packing!

To enter the Max Ride Do Something To Save The Earth contest you need to make a public service announcement. This can be as simple as you standing in front of a camera talking about why and how people should care about global warming and other issues. Or it can be a whole production, if you know your way around video editing or have a friend who does. The winner will get to meet Fall Out Boy and have their PSA professionally produced to appear nationwide.

Those close to the college application process can express the stress of the experience into an appearance in a new film called "In 500 Words or Less." Upload a video with your college application story and you could find yourself in New York City promoting or even appearing in the film.

Finally, for those of us with smaller ambitions (and less camera presence), there is the Best South Park Impression contest where a video of you saying "Thweet" or "Oh My God! They killed Kenny!" could net you all 10 seasons of the celebrated show along with assorted other South Park swag.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Dana

The best part of any birthday is presents, and this month SugarLoot is contributing an extra $200 present to whoever gets the most votes in our Happiest Birthday contest.

To enter, submit a photo of you at a birthday party. It doesn't even matter if its your own, or if you snuck into Hugh Hefner's bunny bash. Actually, we'd rather see pics of Hef's bunnies than you riding a merry go round at Chuck E Cheese's. Whichever you choose to enter, make sure you promote your entries on your Facebook or MySpace pages, on your forums or groups, or even just by emailing your friends. Now's a good time to remind them that "it's the thought that counts" only goes so far, and you'd rather have a $200 gift card to the store of your choice.

And that's the best part of a birthday - you get what you want. That's why for the prize to this fabulous contest, we're letting the winner pick the store where they will get a $200 shopping spree. Will the winner choose Abercrombie? Sephora? Victoria's Secret? Or maybe Best Buy? Whatever the choice, SugarLoot will help make sure the winner has the happiest birthday ever, even after the fact.

LOOTER CELEBRATES B-DAY IN AFRICA
Ashton

The entries for Happiest Birthday have been so much fun to peruse, we wish we could've been invited to your shindigs. Jealous feelings aside, when we stumbled on Kelsey's entry, we had to feature her birthday experience. It is unlike the entries with frosting faces or 21-year-olds who barely remember their picture being taken.

Studying French at MSU, Kelsey had the opportunity to travel to a small village in Mali, located in Western Africa. Although the country suffers economically, their culture and way of life has a lot to offer travelers like Kelsey. "The one thing I learned about Africa is that the people are genuinely nice. When they found out it was my birthday, one of our Malian friends took us to his niece's wedding reception and the traditional Malian band sang happy birthday to me in Bambara (local language and with instruments like the one in the picture). Afterwards, we all went to a discotheque and danced the night away. "

We're sure Kelsey has plenty of images from this experience, as she loves photography. "I have a great appreciation and fondness for this type of art. As the saying goes, pictures are worth 1,000 words. With [SugarLoot], myself and thousands of others have the ability to share those moments with others and maybe even win something cool."

GIVING YOURSELF A HAND

We at SugarLoot are all about making it easier for our members. So as of today, people will now be able to vote for their own entries. You should still campaign for votes across the internet, but even if others fail you, SugarLoot will let you at least give yourself a daily 10.
