YOUR SCOOP FOR THE LOOT

SUGARLOOT ENTERS AGE OF INNOCENCE
Rachel

The Luxe has become our latest guilty pleasure here at the 'Loot since we launched our Luxe Best Style contest. This "historical" fiction novel is like Gossip Girl, except it takes place during the glamourous decade of the 1890's.

Indeed, New York in 1898 was filled with Lindsay Lohans, Paris Hiltons, and Serena van der Woodsens who would evoke scandal by getting out of their horse-drawn carriages and bare their entire...ankle. (Gasp! Rumor says it was Madame Spears. Thank goodness Britney is able to keep up with family tradition.) The Luxe proves that despite the war, poverty, and segregation associated with 1898 America, there was always time for reading "Ye Olde Gossip Column."

With the sequel to the Luxe underway (and all of us have pre-ordered it), SugarLoot wants to celebrate this literary genius that could possibly become the new Great Gatsby. Enter the Luxe Best Style contest with a photo of you at your most glamorous, like Rachel's entry. Prom photos, wedding photos, even photos of you playing dress up are all great pics to upload.

The winner will receive $1,000.00 to spend at the Sephora Apothecary, Ye Forever 21 Shoppe and the Rustic Steve Madden Trading Post.

SUGARLOOT LAUNCHES E-SLUMBER PARTY

DEA

DEA no longer stands for what you think it might. Now, with her above entry, DEA is associated with comfy-cosy. We're a little confused as to why DEA is wearing make-up before she goes to bed, but it does match perfectly with her pink Victoria's Secret pjs. She certainly has a good chance of sleeping her way to the top in our Best Comfy Pajamas contest. Oh wait. We didn't mean it that way. We meant just by DEA slipping into something more comfortable she'll win. Okay, that interpretation didn't really work, either. Let's move on.

The Luxe Best Style contest, featured above, can take a lot out of you. To dress your best, you have to wear uncomfortable shoes, tight clothing, and fabrics that can make you sweat more than if you were abandoned in a desert. We know after you pose, you're just going to want to change into your most comfortable attire ever. Well, now you can capitalize on that with our Best Comfy Pajamas contest.

Grab your favorite pair of footsies, onesies, or whatever clothingsies you sleep in. Please spare us the nausea of seeing a bunch of people who sleep in the nude or wearing nothing but a doily. The winner will receive a 7 for All Mankind Shopping Spree worth $200 so they can have an awesome outfit to wear when they wake up in the morning.

WINNER GETS THE NYC SCOOP
Darby and Cecily Von Ziegesar

Well, even from back in the day when The Luxe took place, New York has always been the epicenter of the entire world. That is why we just had to send Darby to the Big Apple when she won our Be a Gossip Girl contest. If you remember back in January, Darby's entry was so juicy we couldn't shut our mouths out of pure shock for a week.

Even though Darby described her gossip as being humiliating, we are quite positive that this SugarLoot winner wowed Cecily Von Ziegesar in NYC. After all, for a girl who likes Hollister, Starbucks, designer hand bags, and has a bit of shoe obsession, there is little she can do to not fit in while living it up in the gossip capital of the world.

While in New York, Darby got the royal treatment with a room with the best view at the Palace Hotel. She was treated like a celebrity at the fashion mainstays like Bloomingdales and what some may consider heaven on Earth, Tiffany and Co. In the kingdom of all things diamond, she purchased a glittering heart charm. She got to meet Cecily at the swank Cafe 504, plus she received a prize pack with a bunch of fashion goodies. She got a lot accomplished in New York, too much to list it all right here. You have to read about her adventures featured on her profile. Plus, if you check out her photos, you will see a bunch of pics from her time in New York that will satisfy the disappointment we all felt when the Olsen Twins' New York Minute came out.

WHO ARE YOU WEARING?

As you can tell, one of the major themes of this week's CandyGram is fashion. This totally coincides with the Academy Awards that aired on Sunday. Given that the annual Oscars is like Christmas for the celeb obsessed, we must take this opportunity to discuss fashions that graced this year's Red Carpet. Which star do you think dressed the best? Which star deserves to be in the Hall of Fame for the worst dressed (next to Bjork, of course.) Which star do you think would win Best Style if they entered? Head over to the blog and show off your skills as a member of the fashion police.

With stars and actresses on the brains, we could not help but notice the enormous amount of excitement on the 'Loot in regards to a future acting contest. Already people have been swapping daily tens and the contest hasn't even been announced yet. Some people may find it unfair, but, hey, Sara Silverman can tell you, it's all about who you know. Uploading a video is only part of the path to stardom. The other part is promoting your talents, getting your friends to vote, and supporting your fans. So, promote hard, 'Looters, and you just may become a superstar.
