Zoe's Biography

Zoe was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and began her on-camera career when her parents captured her dancing—hanging onto whatever object was at hand-- to Sesame Street’s opening theme song before she even took her first steps. Zoe’s family moved to Rome, Georgia when she was about five years old. She and her younger sister, Morgan, often organized impromptu “shows” with their friends, sometimes giving several performances of different shows in a single evening! Zoe’s passion to perform for a real audience began about the age of ten when she started participating in community productions, primarily as a dancer. At one point, her dance instructor encouraged her to attend a convention to compete as a dancer. Surprisingly, Zoe came home with agency representation as an actress and model. She began doing ad shoots for stores including Goody’s, Belks and Family Dollar. While attending a summer workshop at the age of 12, she met a vocal coach who managed to persuade her to sing for the very first time in front of her peers….a shock to her family and friends! From there, the rest is history, as Zoe began to audition for roles in musical theatre, eventually playing the lead in productions such as “Grease,” “Cinderella” and “Beauty and the Beast.” Zoe has been a competitive soccer player, a cheerleader and a basketball player. She participated in a few beauty pageants and was named “Teen Miss Coosa Valley Fair.” With her father being a physician and her mom working for nonprofits such as the Ronald McDonald House, Zoe grew up with a strong desire to “give back” to her community. Zoe is a founding member of Stars In Our Eyes, Inc. which produces camps, workshops and large-scale musical productions. Proceeds from the group are donated to local charities. Zoe has sponsored local dance camps offered free to the community and has visited numerous daycares, hospitals, etc. in her character roles of Cinderella and Belle. In 2004, Zoe participated in a mission trip as part of a performance team that ministered to the people living in the slums of Lima, Peru. Although Zoe hates to fly, she loves to travel and has visited over two dozen countries. Zoe’s passion for acting led her to take her senior year of high school as a college freshman at Shorter College so that she would have a more flexible schedule for auditions and jobs. Zoe then moved to Kennesaw to attend Kennesaw State University, entering as a first year sophomore as a theater major and dance minor. Zoe began to work on numerous independent and student films to gain on-camera experience. She also continued to find work as a model on her own and through Elite in Atlanta, including being named the “Face of Jane Blu Couture.” In the summer of 2005, she landed a small role in the Warner Brothers feature film, “ATL” which made her SAG eligible and she began to seriously consider making the move to Los Angeles. With encouragement from her agent, a very supportive casting director, her vocal coach, her dance coach and her family, Zoe moved to L.A. Zoe booked a job with WalMart and Bratz on her 2 week anniversary and hasn’t stopped since! Zoe and a friend, Lissa Lauria, formed "Stained Pink" to support the Rock-n-Fashion show in January 2007, as the opening act for The Jonas Brothers. Zoe recently recorded a single for the feature film, "Utopian Society" for Warner Brothers and Polyphonic Records. She is currently working on several new original songs with the creative team at The Song Factory. Zoe has several film projects in various stages of progress, including Gregg Bishop's "Dance of the Dead" and Joey Travolta's Illusion Studio's short film, "Sweet Sixteen."
