Hey! My name is Emily, I'm fourteen years old, and I'm from a little town in NJ that no one has ever heard of. I would say I'm a friendly girl who always tries to put her best foot forward. I joined Sugarloot on September 3rd, to enter the Clique Movie Contest. I L-O-V-E acting, and getting a part in the movie would be an amazing opportunity. At first when I didn't win, I was very upset, but there will be other chances. A one minute movie uploaded onto a website isn't going to be my big break. I'm taking Fundamentals of Acting at school for an elective, and just today (Oct. 11) everyone filmed a commercial. The teacher said I was one of the best she has seen in a long time, and she has been teaching this course for years. And she occasionally gets e-mails from NYU asking for people to play certain parts, so who knows? Although acting would make an amazing career, some things are just not meant to be. Good luck to all!
That was written October 11, 2007. Today is January 18, 2008. Oh what a difference a few months make.
I still love acting but I'm thinking of a completely different career path. Working as an Ambassador to the U.N. in the Soc-Hum commitee (Social, Cultural, and Humanitarian). Let me explain. On January 4th, 5th, and 6th I attended a Model United Nations Conference. It was pretty much the best consecutive 3 days of my life. I had a blast, and I miss it SOOO much. The buzz I got from it was about 100000 times the buzz I get from acting. It was an amazing experience and I can't wait until next year.
