Hi, I joined Sugarloaf in an attempt to get votes for a contest I was in **off-site**, which ended November 30th. I've never been in a contest here, yet, anyway, and doubt I will do this again. I've enjoyed this site, though. I love pictures and the way vote-campaigning gives people an *in* to talk to each other.

I had an up & down experience while campaigning for votes during the last week of October and month of November. It was wierd because I tried to stay detached, and didn't really *expect* to win, yet I couldn't stop myself from trying...even when the odds seemed really bad... then, all the sudden, I was **in** the contest with a great score, and I was so excited. Thru the whole time, I was having little mini-crisis's, (mostly offline), that would pop up every time I spent too much time campaigning for votes and not getting enough rest or getting other things done.

Still, I managed to curb my time at the computer for most of the month, until the last week, I still wouldn't - or couldn't - quit... IT WAS OBSSESSIVE!

When it was all over, I think I came in 3rd in my category, but was never sure how they were giving out prizes (3 per category or 3 total)... turns out it was only 3 total, so my third place didn't count for anything.

After all work I put into this... I decided that what I needed was a nice, healthy, physical outlet for winning and losing! So I'm going to take up sports again! :-)

Finally, I was really big on the idea of posting my voting results even though it probably doubled or trippled my time at the computer.

They don't work. Try it. Check the results before you vote on an entry, then check them afterward...they don't change...and I've been posting that so-called result all along. What a total waste of time! :-/
