one year ago, if i saw who i would become today i wouldn't recognize myself. i've gone through a lot in the past year, but it's nothing i couldn't handle - in fact i'm eager for more. i guess the most important thing i've learned is that real love takes damage. you can't really love someone without stepping into their world, reaching out and being there for them. that said, there are very few people who i truly love, and who love me. but they mean everything. absolutely everything. and without them i would have nothing. i would be nothing. i wouldn't be alaina. i'd just be one more girl sitting on the curb, waiting for her dream vessel to come and get her. but i'm done waiting. i've got a dream and i'm gonna chase it, if it takes away my every last breath.
