I hope you all had fun doing your profiles. I certainly enjoyed exploring summer with them. You all did an amazing job everyone! And that made it very hard to pick just 1 winner. You are all winners! I truly wish I had more prizes to give out. But hold that thought.

I would like to thank everyone who took the time to check profiles and voted. I tried to be as fair as possible to pick a winner. So I wrote down the names of everyone who voted and didn't have a profile on scratch paper and rolled them into little balls. Then I shook them up really good in my hands and asked my boyfriend to pick out a paper ball. At 10:57 PM Pacific time I opened the paper ball he picked and unwrapped Dave's name.

I had all the golden ticket votes tallied and tripled checked twice for accuracy. It was a close call with only 1 vote difference for the winner. Tonia has the most votes with 8 total. She is the first place winner.

I had to take 1 last look at everyone's profile. Since it was so hard to chose a winner because I know everyone put a lot of hard work and effort into the profiles. I looked for the profile that scored the highest overall in the following areas: summer slogan, orginality, creativity, consistency, layout, and personal touch. I also spent several hours looking and relooking at the profiles. I even had my boyfriend who was like Simon Cowell while looking at the profiles. He helped me narrow the field from top 5 to the best one. With that said I choose Hannah's profile.

I really like Hannah's profile because even though it was simple, it was the layout and the personal touch that won me over. Her theme was Summer 2008 Take Me Away and after looking at her profile, I wanted to be swept away by summer.

Please don't fret over not having your name posted as a winner. The Golden Ticket is The Voice's first contest. It was a learning experience for me and I do plan to hold more contests. As a matter of fact next month I will be holding another one so be prepared and read The Voice for updates.

I got asked some questions. I thought I should clear them here too. Honest truth, I had the judging winner's name picked out exactly as I told you. Everyone who got a ticket is my friend. So anyone who won it could have made me happy. Diane had the 2nd most votes at 7. And Tiff had 6. The Top 5 of my choosing was Diane, Tiff, Urkells, Nicole, and Hannah. Even narrowing it down to 5 was hard. And out of the top 5, I honestly couldn't chose because they were all unique. So I had my boyfriend help me out. If you are still reading this, you will know that next contest is not a profile contest.
