I feel like this is all my fault. People are leaving because of polyvore, which they wouldn't have found if I hadn't pointed out the thinspo thing.


Look, the fact of the matter is, if you put something on the internet, it never goes away. If there's a picture of you singing into your hairbrush on your myspace, you need to be prepared to see it on a billboard in Australia (true story, ask me about it). If you aren't, well, what are you doing here to begin with?


These people aren't stealing our identities, they're making collages (that's what polyvore is) and, well, OK, inspiring each other to starve isn't a great idea for obvious reasons, but you get the idea. It's not identity theft. With rare exceptions, everything on the internet becomes public property.


I'll take this point in my spiel to inform the twi-hards that something similar happened to Stephenie Meyer recently, not with pictures, but with the rough draft of Midnight Sun. It's now available on her website. That should cheer you up a little, mmm? More Edward, so soon after BD? Ha XD


I just wish I'd never mentioned the thinspo thing, so that sugarloot could've stayed the way it was before. I didn't think people would take all of this so seriously.


I'm not wellknown enough on sl to make it onto polyvore, and though I've been on lots of thinspo sites in recent months (yes, I've lost a lot of weight, though not through starvation) I wasn't on this particular site, but I still don't see why standard internet crap which has been going on for months is deemed reason to leave...

i have diabetes, but i'm not anorexic.
with diabetes, i HAVE to eat.
and i mostly WANT to eat.
